Fernando Torres will always be fondly remembered in Liverpool.

While his acrimonious and painful split from the club as he turned his back on Merseyside and headed for Chelsea will always be a black mark in his book, the wearing on of time has seen most Reds fans forgive him.

The simple fact of the matter is the Spanish maestro gave the hoards on the Anfield terraces some of the sweetest memories as he made the Premier League his playground.

In partnership with club legend Steven Gerrard, El Nino was nigh on unplayable, haunting opposition defenders and plundering goals for fun.

His time at Chelsea was a lot less fruitful on the goal-front, but Torres did play a crucial role in the club securing major European silverware as they clinched the Champions League and the Europa League.

What is Fernando Torres up to now?

However, it has been some time since Torres kicked a ball in anger, so what is he up to now?

Well, by the looks of things, Torres has spent every waking hour of his retirement in the gym, crafting himself into an absolute monster of a man.

Torres originally blew the football world away when he first unveiled his new look and, since then, has been hard at work perfecting his incredible chassis.

Crikey - no wonder the man has bulked up so much over the last few years.

Perhaps Torres has his eyes set on a Dwayne Johnson-esque career path with dreams of blockbuster roles in Hollywood films.

Or, perhaps, the man is just committed to building the best version of himself that he can as he looks to keep fit and healthy following the end of his successful playing career.
