WWE fans around the globe have been voting to award one fighter the prestigious title: ‘Best of the 21st Century’.

The results are far from what many would expect. Iconic, household-names like ‘Big Show’, ‘Hulk Hogan’ and ‘Brock Lesnar’ all failed to make the top 25.

Breaking in to the top five is Roman Reigns. Reigns is a six-time world champion in WWE, having held the WWE Championship four times and the WWE Universal Championship twice.

4. Randy Orton (Tennessee, USA)

Fan-favourite, Randy Orton is in at fourth. Orton is a 14-time world champion with ten WWE Championship belts and four World Heavyweight Champion Belts.

3. Shawn Michaels (Arizona, USA)

Michaels is a four-time WWE World Champion, having held the WWF Chamionship three times and WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship, once. Michaels won the prestigious ‘Royal Rumble’ twice, also becoming the first man to win the match as the number one entrant.

He also holds the title of first WWF Grand Slam Champion and was only the fourth WWF Triple Crown Champion.

2. The Rock (California, USA)

Widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wresters of all time, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was integral to the development and success of the WWE during the infamous ‘Attitude Era’.

This period saw a huge boom for the sport in the late 1990s and early 2000s, a boom many attributed to The Rock. Johnson left WWE in 2004, returning in 2011 as a part-time performer until 2019.

1. The Undertaker (Texas, USA)

Taking the top spot on this list and officially crowned WWE’s ‘Best of the 21st Century’ is ‘The Undertaker’.

With a catalogue of outstanding accolades it’s hard to argue against ‘The Undertaker’s glistening career with his esteemed ‘Streak’ of 21 straight victories undoubtably cementing his spot within the WWE Hall of Fame.
