Lionel Messi played an outrageous pass to Neymar without looking while being on the floor during Paris Saint-Germain's 2-1 victory over Nice on Saturday.

Messi opened scored the scoring with a sensational free-kick - his fifth Ligue 1 goal of the season.

However, Gaetan Laborde equalised shortly after half time for the away side.

A Kylian Mbappe strike inside the final 10 minutes ensured PSG remained top of the table with their eighth victory from their nine matches so far.

But the match belonged to Messi who finds himself in tremendous form right now.

Messi spent the international break scoring four goals in Argentina's two friendly matches against Honduras and Jamaica.

And he produced another masterclass in the tight victory over Nice.

His dribbling, his passing, his beautiful free kick. Messi did it all on Saturday evening.

Lionel Messi's moment of magic

But we wanted to highlight one special Messi moment in the second half.

With the scores at 1-1, the Argentine was looking to help PSG retake the lead. As he went on yet another one of his dribbles, he was brought down by an opponent. Just as the referee was about to blow for a free-kick, Messi somehow managed to force the ball to Neymar.

It's not until you see the replay do you realise that Messi actually played a no-look pass to Neymar, whilst on the floor with his weaker right foot.

How on earth did he have the vision and thought process to pull that off!?

Messi could become best in the world again

After the match, PSG boss Christophe Galtier insisted that Messi could become the best in the world yet again despite being the age of 35.

“I have an incredible pleasure to see him every morning in training," Galtier said.

"He’s in good spirits, very happy. He is a very selfless player, who animates the game and has always been used to scoring. He’s getting the taste for scoring again. Can he become the best player in the world again? Yes, if he’s in incredible form this summer. He is well prepared. He’s happy. And when he’s happy, he performs well.”
