Erling Haaland continued his magnificent start to life at Manchester City with a ruthless display against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon. The Norwegian, who cost City £51 million from Borussia Dortmund, netted two goals before half-time as City went into the break 3-0 up.Phil Foden was also on the scoresheet as Pep Guardiolaâs side tormented their neighbours at the Etihad Stadium.City were without several key players for the first Manchester derby of the season including Rodri, Kalvin Philips and John Stones. For Man United, Cristiano Ronaldo was named on the bench again by Ten Hag, who started with Septemberâs Player of the Month Marcus Rashford leading the line.City almost took the lead inside four minutes but some heroic last-ditch defending from Scott McTominay prevented United from going 1-0 down on that occasion. However, Foden had the ball in the visitorsâ net moments later, sweeping home Bernardo Silvaâs cross in style from close range.
