Erling Haaland took home yet another match ball after his hat-trick for Manchester City against Manchester United.

Haaland, along with Phil Foden, scored three goals as City smashed Man Utd 6-3 at the Etihad.

It was Haaland's third hat-trick in a City shirt and he has now scored three goals in each of his last three home matches.

In total, he's notched 17 goals in just 11 appearances since signing for the club in the summer for just £51 million.

Ridiculous numbers from a ridiculous player.

He must be an absolute dream to have in your team.

However, there is one downside to him continually scoring hat-tricks - you have to keep writing messages to him on his match ball.

Laporte's message on Haaland's latest match ball

That's certainly something playing on Aymeric Laporte's mind.

Laporte has missed the entire season with a knee injury but played 15 minutes in the Manchester derby. And he was on hand to write on Haaland's hat-trick ball after the Manchester derby.

And it seems he's fed up of it.

On his latest ball, Laporte wrote: "I have signed more balls for your hat-tricks than contracts."

Laporte's message to Haaland

It surely won't be the last time he's signing Haaland's match ball either...

The French defender later retweeted an image of Haaland and Foden holding their match balls and wrote: "This is going to cost a lot of money in footballs lol".

Haaland used to 'sleep with his match balls

We wonder if Haaland still sleeps with his match balls.

Back in 2019 when playing for Red Bull Salzburg, the Norweigen admitted he treated his match balls like his girlfriends.

“They lie in bed and I sleep well with them,” Haaland told Dagbladet. “I look at them every day. The best thing is to score goals.

"In Salzburg I have five [match balls]. They are my girlfriends.”

Guardiola: Haaland's numbers are 'scary'

Even his manager, Pep Guardiola, admitted that his current numbers are scary.

“The numbers speak for himself. He has done this before here. It is not our way. Always we try to help him in our environment. We have this incredible sense that he always looks starving and is so competitive.

“The numbers are scary, honestly. He sees 10 players running without the ball with effort for each other so he wants to do it. They visualise it, they see it. It's why we have success in the last few years. Behind it is effort and desire to do it.”
