Sebastian Vettel had a fine weekend at the Singapore Grand Prix with him earning points with an eighth-place finish for Aston Martin.

The Silverstone-based team, on the whole, had a productive weekend with Lance Stroll coming home in P6 and they now find themselves in seventh in the Constructors' standings, having again been strong in tricky, damp conditions.

They'll be looking to keep that momentum as we head to Suzuka this weekend, then, with them potentially eyeing Alfa Romeo in sixth place given their respective dip in form, and Vettel would obviously like to achieve something like that to go out on a high at the end of his career.

It was a fine performance from Vettel who kept his nose clean and could have even finished seventh but for a late overtake from Max Verstappen, who was charging back through the field.

The German set his points finish up with a great start off of the line in Singapore, meanwhile, with him moving up five places over the opening exchanges to get into the top 10, having started from P13 following George Russell's demotion to the pitlane following an engine change.

The control on display from Seb, and the rest of the field, at the start of the race was as impressive as ever in tricky conditions and the four-time world champion underlined his class with a really solid drive over the following two hours of racing action.

It's a track he has enjoyed being at in the past, too, with five wins under his belt at the circuit and so it's perhaps no surprise to see the sort of display he put in on Sunday.
