Seth Rollins went to ridiculously personal lengths with his savage promo on Matt Riddle during WWE Raw last night

WWE Raw saw Seth Rollins absolutely ruin Matt Riddle with a ridiculously savage promo on his fellow Superstar.

The promo segment served as the go-home angle for Rollins and Riddle's match at Extreme Rules, which will be contested in a Fight Pit.

WWE clearly wants to make the match feel as big as possible, bringing in UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier to serve as the special guest referee.

What did Seth Rollins say to Matt Riddle on Raw?

During this week's episode of Raw, Rollins and Riddle shared the ring for a promo segment, but were unable to touch each other ahead of their big match on Saturday evening.

Rollins went fully in on Riddle, bringing up the fact that the former United States Champion's wife has divorced him, meaning he can't see his kids anymore, in what was a truly savage promo.

Do you sing your kids to sleep at night? Oh, that's right, you're not allowed to see your kids anymore, are you? Come on bro, just hit me. Oh wait, you can't because we've got a big-money match on Saturday and you need all the cash that you can get because, well let's face it, these days child support is very expensive.

Riddle tried to fire back with some harsh words of his own, suggesting that Seth is nowhere near as successful as his wife Becky Lynch, but his lines weren't nearly as brutal as Rollins'.

When is the last time you held a championship? Oh wait, that's right, the last time you faced for the championship it was against your boy Roman [Reigns], and he choked your a** out. Remember the last time you main evented WrestleMania? Oh wait, you haven't, but your wife Becky has.

The segment, as you can see from the selection of tweets below, has been largely applauded for adding yet more realism to the bitter feud between Matt and Seth, which culminates this weekend.
