What's the latest news involving Haaland?

Haaland made the £51million move from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City during the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old has wasted no time settling into his new surroundings and has already chalked up 17 goals, along with a further three assists, in his first 11 outings.

Haaland found the back of the net three times as Manchester City consigned arch-rivals Manchester United to a 6-3 thumping on Sunday and, in the process, he became the first player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick in three consecutive home matches.

The eye-catching performance also allowed the frontman to score three hat-tricks in the competition in the fastest amount of time, beating previous record-holder Michael Owen by 40 appearances.

Haaland has now got his name on the scoresheet 152 times in just 194 senior outings at club level.

What has Dean Jones said about Haaland?

Jones believes Haaland is desperate to write his name into the history books as the greatest goalscorer of all-time.

The journalist feels he is destined to eventually head to one of La Liga's heavyweights rather than remaining with Manchester City for the remainder of his career.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: "I think he'll want to be the best goalscorer we've ever seen.

"The type of numbers that he's talking about and the way he talks about ending his career with more goals than games is in a way that nobody's ever spoken before.

"I don't think Manchester City is his final destination at all. He'll definitely play for Real Madrid or Barcelona."

Has Haaland been linked with a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona?

Speaking on a documentary, Haaland's father Alf-Inge has claimed that the striker will only remain with Manchester City for a maximum of four years as he wants to prove himself in various countries.

According to Spanish sources, stipulations within Haaland's contract mean he could join Real Madrid in 2024.

The report suggests there is an exit clause written into the 23-cap Norway international's Etihad Stadium deal and there are beneficial conditions for the La Liga giants.
