Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is 'very happy' at the helm and it would take a 'giant of football' to convince him to quit Parkhead, according to Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph.

The Greek-Australian took over the Glasgow giants in the summer of 2021, but he has been linked with a move south of the border.

What's the latest news involving Postecoglou?

It is understood that Postecoglou has been discussed as a potential candidate for the managerial vacancy at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The West Midlands outfit are on the lookout for a new boss after Bruno Lage was sacked at the weekend.

But Wolves are not the only Premier League club to have been linked with Postecoglou as Leicester City could reportedly make a move if ex-Celtic chief Brendan Rodgers is axed.

The 57-year-old was also in the running for the Brighton & Hove Albion job after Graham Potter left to take over at Chelsea last month, but the Seagulls opted to appoint Roberto De Zerbi instead.

It has emerged that Celtic are keen to tie Postecoglou down to an improved long-term contract as they look to keep him out of suitors’ clutches.

What has Anthony Joseph said about Postecoglou?

Joseph believes Postecoglou is committed to Celtic and will not walk away from the club for a slightly more lucrative deal elsewhere.

The journalist feels the Bhoys' boss has unfinished business at Parkhead and it would take a European heavyweight to persuade him to move onto pastures new.

Joseph told GIVEMESPORT: "I think he's not someone who would just jump ship for the sake of it or for a few extra quid.

"I think he very much sees his path as something of a success ladder. If he feels that he's done his job at Celtic, which I don't think he does at all because he has been talking about this as phase two of the project, then he could go.

"But I know he's very happy at Celtic and he says it himself, so it would take something huge - like a giant of football - to take him away from Celtic now.

"If he's at the end of his project, we'll see what club he goes on to. But I'm sure, at the moment, Celtic fans would love him to stay for as long as possible."

Would it come as a shock if Postecoglou left Celtic?

Speaking to The Project - via the Daily Mail - Postecoglou revealed he is 'really happy' at Celtic and 'living the dream', so it seems he is not interested in leaving just yet.

Having won the Scottish Premiership title and Scottish League Cup during his first season at the helm, he also suggested he has set his sights on clinching more silverware in Glasgow.

Postecoglou has led Celtic to 50 wins from just 71 fixtures in the dugout, so keeping the Parkhead favourite on board will be crucial for the club.
