Michael Bisping and Conor McGregor aren't exactly the best of friends anymore.

Bisping and McGregor, 45 and 34 respectively, have been trading verbal jabs with one another on social media for the best part of a year.

The UFC pair's latest public back-and-forth began after McGregor took aim at Bisping's acting chops.

Bisping responded by calling McGregor a "d***head" on his podcast Believe You Me.

That prompted a furious reaction from McGregor, who warned him to "keep my name out your mouth."

Bisping didn't take exception to McGregor's criticism of his acting career, though he did tell him to not to take it so seriously.

“If you watched the show, we were having a laugh,” he said on his podcast per MMA Fighting. “It’s a f****** joke, obviously, there was no threats on my end whatsoever. But he kind of flipped a lid, didn’t he? He lost his mind.

“Anyway, Conor, relax buddy. Jesus goddamn Christ. There you go.

“I’ve been told to keep his name out of my f****ing mouth. How the f*** can I do that? I can’t do that.

"I talk about MMA and he’s the biggest star in MMA. When you become a star of that magnitude, people are going to talk.

“He took a shot about my acting work, and we had a laugh about it on the podcast. But that’s what happens when you get older. You learn to turn the other cheek.”

When did their feud start?

Up until 2021, the two were believed to be friends - but their relationship apparently soured after Bisping replaced McGregor in the 2017 film XXX with Vin Diesel.

"He was supposed to do XXX and then got his a** kicked by Nate Diaz," he told The Mirror in 2021. "He didn't want to risk doing an acting role and training for a fight at the same time so he stepped aside.

"So I actually auditioned for the role in Santa Monica amongst many other people, I wasn't 'given it', nobody 'handed it to me', Vin Diesel didn't even know who I was.

"I got the part on my acting ability, and he tried to discredit me but whatever.

"I went out and got the role, then I went and won the world title on two weeks' notice so it all worked out for me."
