WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, despite dealing with brian issues right now, would consider returning to wrestling for another match.

Angle stepped away from wrestling in April 2019, ending his legendary career with a loss to Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35.

Fans always say that Kurt deserved more for his final match, and it seems like the former WWE Champion agrees.

What would bring Kurt Angle out of retirement?

Angle may have stepped away from wrestling in 2019, but he doesn't seem 100% set on his retirement.

Kurt has turned down offers to return to wrestling since his retirement, both from WWE and AEW, but there are a few wrestlers that he would be willing to put his boots back on to work with.

Speaking to Wrasslinews, Angle explained that he'd step out of retirement to work with Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and John Cena, via Ringside News.

I’d want a Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins, or even a John Cena. Those are the names that I would pick because I know those guys would carry me through the match.

Despite not having wrestled on a full-time basis for over five years at this point, Angle noted that he still considers Cena to be in his prime, which is why he'd want to work with him.

John is possibly still in his prime. So I would definitely say John Cena and the reason for that is, I’m 53 years old. I’m not the same athlete I was when I was 33. And when I decided to retire, it was because I lost the step. Knowing that John’s still in his prime, I know that he can carry me through a match

Was Kurt Angle happy with his retirement match?

Angle's desire to wrestle Cena is interesting, especially considering how the WWE Hall of Famer feels about having wrestled Baron Corbin in his final match.

Speaking on Kurt Angle show podcast, Angle has explained previously that he asked to face Cena at WrestleMania 35 instead of Corbin, but the requests were rejected.

Vince McMahon told Angle that he needed to finish his feud with Corbin at WrestleMania, but offered him the chance to face Cena at WretsleMania 36 the following year.

However, Angle was determined to retire at the show, feeling that he couldn't continue wrestling at a good level, so a match his retirement match against Cena never happened.

For balance, it's worth noting that it's not been reported that WWE is even considering bringing Angle back for another match, nevermind against one of the Superstars that he mentioned.
