Formula 1: Yuki Tsunoda & Pierre Gasly blast out Adele in hilarious karaoke footage

Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda doing karaoke

Formula 1 is back in Japan this weekend as the sport makes a long-awaited return to Suzuka.

The famous circuit hasn’t hosted a Grand Prix since 2019 thanks to the pandemic but things are gradually getting back to normal in Japan and that is reflected by the fact that the race is ready to go this weekend.

It also means the drivers get to explore one of the most interesting countries on earth and we’ve seen plenty of snaps from them on social media showing off what they have been getting up to in recent days since arriving in the country after travelling straight from Singapore.

Lando Norris has been sightseeing and taking photos for example, whilst Red Bull pair Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have been playing keepy-uppy, but it’s perhaps the AlphaTauri pair of Yuki Tsunoda and Pierre Gasly that have had the most fun of all, with them taking to a karaoke bar.

Karaoke is obviously hugely popular in Japan and, with Yuki hailing from the country, it’s perhaps no shock to see him absolutely in his element alongside his team-mate, as they blast out Hello by Adele.

Check out the footage below:

It’s perhaps no shock, and is certainly a good thing, that their driving is better than their singing voices.

Tsunoda and Gasly clearly have a very strong relationship having been team-mates since the start of the 2021 season but it could be the case that they are in different teams from 2023.

Alpine look set to sign Gasly to put him alongside Esteban Ocon in a bit to form an all-French driver pairing, whilst Nyck de Vries could be the man to replace Pierre at AlphaTauri.

That’s all to come in the future, though, and in the meantime Tsunoda and Gasly will be focusing on getting a good result for AlphaTauri this weekend, as the battle for P7 in the Constructors’ championship with Aston Martin and Haas intensifies.
