Braun Strowman recently made a huge return to WWE, re-establishing himself as one of the most dominant superstars in the company.

Strowman's first WWE run followed a successful career as a Strongman, and was as a member of the Wyatt family. After breaking out on his own in 2016, he was responsible for some of the most stunning feats of strenght in WWE history. He also captured the Universal, Intercontinental and Tag Titles.

His release last year came as a shock but Strowman didn't leave the industry, instead creating the Control Your Narrative promotion as well as competing briefly in ROH.

His recent WWE return came as a result of Triple H's ascension to Head of Creative and will likely see him featured heavily on WWE TV.

The real-life Adam Scherr had sports in his blood, with his father Rick “Crusher” Scherr being one of the greatest softball players of all time. He is in the Hall of Fame and holds several World Series records, including most home runs with 101.

Strowman’s freakish strength saw him make his Strongman competition debut in September 2009. Within two years, he was handed a professional card, making him the fastest competitor to do so.

A WWE legend helped him get hired

The one-time legit World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry, saw Strowman at a Strongman event and eventually introduced him to Vince McMahon.

He appeared on WWE TV in 2014

While training in the WWE Performance Centre, Strowman appeared on Raw as one of Adam Rose’s “Rosebuds” in 2014.

He only had seven matches prior to his main roster run

Strowman was extremely green when he officially joined the main roster on the 24th August, 2015 episode of Raw. It was hardly a shock given he had just seven wrestling matches in his life, all on NXT house shows.

He won the Raw Tag Titles with a 10-year-old

Despite lacking a partner, Strowman won a battle royal to determine the no. 1 contenders for the Raw Tag Titles at WrestleMania 34. At the event, he picked Nicholas, a child from the crowd (in reality the son of a WWE referee) and won the belts over Sheamus and Cesaro.

He is the only man to win these two matches

Strowman was heavily pushed in 2018 and 2019 leading to him winning a series of marquee matches, notably the 50-man “Greatest Royal Rumble” in 2018 and the Andre the Giant Battle Royal the following year. This makes him the only man to win a Rumble match and the Memorial Battle Royale.

Bray Wyatt was his wrestling mentor

Strowman’s start on the main roster came as a member of the Wyatt family. He has since said that Bray acted as a mentor to him, giving him advice on character development and life on the road.

He is the godfather to Wyatt’s son

As a result of their time spent together on the road and in the ring, Strowman and Wyatt developed a close bond. Strowman is the godfather to Bray and ex-WWE announcer JoJo’s son Knash, who was born in 2019.

He is currently in a relationship with a WWE superstar

Strowman is currently dating Victoria Gonzales, better known as Smackdown superstar and former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Raquel Rodriguez.
