Odell Beckham Jr is apparently coming very close to deciding where he wants to play this season, according to the Buffalo Bills’ Von Miller.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr, a player who at his peak was arguably the best wide receiver in all of the National Football League, is currently on the lookout for a new team as he recovers from his latest injury, having suffered an ACL injury during last season’s Super Bowl, helping the Los Angeles Rams claim their second title in franchise history.

Speaking of second times, the ACL injury that Beckham suffered was the second time he has had it happen to him in his career, having also suffered the same injury when he was a member of the Cleveland Browns back in 2020. The diagnosis on his latest injury, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter, is that he will recover fully and be ready to play, around Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is still over a month away, but when you factor in the time it will take to get used to the offense, and for him to get well and truly up to game speed with a few weeks of practice, it’s no surprise that he has recently been quite busy working out who he wants to play for.

Odell Beckham Jr tests the waters

According to Buffalo Bills edge rusher Von Miller who played with Miller last season with the Los Angeles Rams (via ProFootballTalk), Beckham Jr has been on something of a whistle-stop tour of the National Football League, trying to see where he would fit in and what he can expect from teams:

I talk to him probably every week.I check in with him, keep in touch with him. OBJ, he’s a vet in this league too, he understands teams, and the way teams are built too. I’m sure when he looks at our team he can see himself fitting on our team. He’s going on tour now. He’s going to Giants practice facility, and the Saints, Tampa, and all that stuff, which you should. You should go around, see the league and get the love. He’s still on Super Bowl tour. He’s done just about everything in this league. You want to go around and get the love.

Miller also hinted that he thinks he knows where Beckham might end up when all is said and done:

Me personally, the way I like to think, I think when it’s time to start chopping the block, I think when it’s time to get down the business, we already know where he’s going to be at. In my eyes, I think I know where he’s going to be at.

The season is still in its infancy, and the teams that Miller mentioned as possible destinations for him are all at different stages and have differing levels of potential, so it will be interesting to see where he does end up going.
