Tom Brady and comments about his accomplishments in the NFL have been attracting some rather interesting comments from people on social media.

When it comes to Tom Brady’s achievements within the world of football, you could find yourself talking for a good few hours and still find yourself not covering half of what he’s been able to do since he entered the league as a 6th-round pick in 2000.

With 7 Super Bowl trophies, 3 NFL MVP awards and a list of records that seem as if they could go on forever, there isn’t really a lot that he can do in the game that hasn’t been done already both with the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

However, according to Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith, that still isn’t enough when it comes to the ‘G.O.A.T’, as he believes that he needs to given even more praise than he is already getting, with the title of the Greatest Of All Time seemingly not enough in his eyes.

Tom Brady needs even more love

Speaking to reporters ahead of the Falcons’ game against Brady and the Buccaneers this weekend (via ProFootballTalk), Smith spoke about the Buccaneers’ offense, which is currently going through something of a crisis on the injury front, and how Brady is able to navigate problems like that by making the best decisions:

Well, I don’t think Brady gets enough credit, to sustain that level of success year after year, he’s going to make the right play.

Which comes across as rather positive and full of praise, hinting at how with his age he’s able to get smarter and smarter and use that to make the best decision for his team. However, it’s the first part of his sentence about Brady not getting enough credit is what has generated something of a buzz on social media.

People line up to put down the Tom Brady narrative

The first sentence was relayed by Pro Football Talk on their Twitter page, where there were plenty of people ready to try and put Smith in his place by saying that Brady gets exactly the amount of praise that he gets, with some people even suggesting that he might get a little bit too much in the grand scheme of things:

Although it isn’t the fans on social media that Smith should be worried about, it’s what Brady’s reaction to it is going to be, because if there is one player in the NFL you don’t want to get angry and fired up ahead of a meeting with you, it’s Brady.

So he might have just written a big cheque that his team now has to cash.
