Erling Haaland is not one of the top 10 highest-rated footballers on FIFA 23.

In fact, the Manchester City striker is not even in the top 20 on the latest version of EA Sports’ hugely-popular video game franchise.

You need to scroll down to 21st place to find Haaland’s name. The 22-year-old forward has an 88 rating on FIFA 23, which puts him alongside the likes of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Bernardo Silva.

Real Madrid star Karim Benzema is one of five players with a 91 rating on FIFA 23 - the highest score on this year’s game.

Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski as well as Paris Saint-Germain duo Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé are also 91 rated, and so is Haaland’s City teammate Kevin De Bruyne.

How did Erling Haaland react to his FIFA 23 rating?

Man City have posted a video of various players from their men’s and women’s teams discovering their FIFA 23 ratings.

Haaland’s reaction perfectly sums up his elite mentality.

How many goals has Haaland scored for Man City so far?

Based on what we’ve seen at the start of this season, Haaland had every right to have expected a higher rating on FIFA 23.

The former Borussia Dortmund star, who joined City in a deal worth £51 million in the summer, has scored a remarkable 19 goals in his first 12 appearances for his current employers - including three hat-tricks.

Haaland has netted 14 goals in his first eight Premier League appearances and fans are already wondering if he’ll go on to beat Alan Shearer’s all-time record.

It’s frightening to think how many goals Haaland will go on to score this season. He looks capable of breaking all kinds of records in his debut campaign in English football.
