WWE stars give generous donations to memorial fund as Sara Lee passes away

Sarah Lee tragically passes away aged just 30

Sara Lee, who won the 2015 season of WWE Tough Enough, sadly passed away yesterday at the age of just 30.

The former WWE Superstar was clearly a beloved member of the wrestling community, as tributes have flooded in from fans and wrestlers alike following her tragic death.

That’s not all, as WWE Superstars, both past and present, have donated generously to the GoFundMe page set up in her memory.

Former NXT star Bull Dempsey set up a GoFundMe page yesterday to help Wesley Blake, Sara’s husband, pay for her funeral costs.

The wrestling world, both with regards to fans and wrestlers, came together to donate to the cause, highlighting that the community really can unite when tragedy strikes.

There are frankly too many names to list them all, but various former and current WWE stars donated to the Weston family.

Below are just a few of the “top donators” listed on the GoFundMe page, many of whom either work for WWE now, or previously worked for the company.

  • Madcap Moss – $2,000

As noted, there are far too many wrestlers to name, with several more stars donating to the memorial fund, which has shattered it’s original $20,000, with over $59,000 donated at the time of writing.

The outpour of support to her family and friends after her passing was announced, from both wrestlers and fans, only highlights just how beloved Lee must have been within the wrestling community.

At the time of writing, there is no word on what led to Lee’s sudden passing. The mother-of-three only posted on Instagram a few days ago that she was feeling healthy enough after a sinus infection to get back into the gym.

GiveMeSport, once again, would like to send its best wishes, love and condolences to the friends, family and fans of Sara Lee at this incredibly difficult time.
