Manchester City striker Erling Haaland potentially talking to Jude Bellingham about a move to the Etihad is a "frightening prospect", says Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The two played with each other at Borussia Dortmund, and reports suggest that the latter could join his former team-mate in Manchester next summer.

What is the latest news involving Bellingham?

According to The Telegraph, Real Madrid have already started their campaign to sign Bellingham.

However, the newspaper states that the likes of City, Liverpool and Chelsea all remain interested in the 19-year-old midfielder.

Also per The Telegraph, there is a belief at Real Madrid that Bellingham could be available for £88m despite a £130m price tag previously doing the rounds.

Despite being just a teenager, Bellingham has already captained Dortmund, wearing the armband a couple of times for the German giants this season.

What has Sheth said about Haaland, Bellingham and City?

Haaland talking to Bellingham to try and convince him to move to the Etihad next summer is a scary thought, according to Sheth.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Sky Sports reporter said: "Now they've brought Haaland there, not only is it the pulling power of Manchester City and Pep Guardiola, it's also Haaland. He can maybe speak to some of his old team-mates and say, 'Jude Bellingham, come here.' It's a frightening prospect."

Will Bellingham join City?

It is certainly a possibility. As Sheth alluded to, Haaland may be able to convince him to pick City over the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool.

The Citizens, of course, also have the funds to wrap up such a deal. It does not mean they will but, whether his price tag is £88m or £130m, they can certainly afford him.

You would expect the chance to compete for the Premier League title to appeal to Bellingham, too.

Speaking about the England international last month after City took on Dortmund, Guardiola said (via Football365: "I was impressed two seasons ago when he was 17! He’s able to defensively follow [Ilkay] Gundogan or Kevin [De Bruyne] in the pockets and win the duels. The transition is fast, have the sense to get in position in the box for the goal he scored.

"An exceptional player. I think everyone knows it, not just because the manager of Manchester City is going to tell you."

When you consider all of the above, you cannot rule Bellingham moving to the Etihad out.
