National Women's Soccer League star and USA international Alex Morgan has been named as the most endorsed female athlete of 2022.
SponsorUnited has released its 2022 Women In Sports Report, revealing a 20 per cent brand deal increase year-over-year.
Morgan, who is one of the most well-known women's footballers on the planet, has leapfrogged the likes of Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka into the top spot.
Osaka topped the Forbes list of highest-paid female athletes in 2021 with an overall pre-tax earning of $57.3 million (£50.6m). Williams earned a handsome $45.9 million (£40.5m) for both on-field and off-field achievements.
Who is Alex Morgan?
Morgan is recognised across the globe and has the honours to back up her iconic status.
The 33-year-old won back-to-back World Cups with the US national team in 2015 and 2019, as well as an Olympic gold medal at the 2012 London Games.
She has also won the NWSL Championship with Portland Thorns, and enjoyed a treble-winning season with Lyon, where she won the Division 1 title, Champions League, and the Coupe de France.
Morgan also made her Women's Super League debut when she spent three months on loan with Tottenham Hotspur.
In 2015, Morgan became the first woman, alongside Canadian legend Christine Sinclair and Australian goalkeeper Steph Catley, to feature in a FIFA game.

How much is Alex Morgan worth?
According to the SponsorUnited report, Morgan has landed 27 brand deals this year, more than any NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS or NHL athlete.
The striker is endorsed by companies including Google, Coca-Cola, and AT&T to name just a few.
Williams is just behind Morgan in the list after bagging 26 endorsement deals, with Osaka is third in the overall list with 23. Fellow tennis players Leylah Fernandez (20) and Venus Williams (17) are also named in the top 10.
Since Orlando Pride sold Morgan to San Diego Wave in return for a record $275,000 (£243,000) in Allocation Money, the international superstar is reportedly earning upwards of £4 million per year.

This is according to WageIndicator.co.uk, which breaks down Morgan's earnings to almost £335,000 per month and more than £77,000 per week.
Her income comes from both her wages as a professional footballer and the money from her impressive portfolio of endorsement deals.
According to a report published by Casino.org in 2021, Morgan was third on the list of highest paid female footballers with a wage of $450,000 (£396,800). Only Chelsea's Sam Kerr and the now retired Carli Lloyd were ahead of her.
