WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has jokingly hinted about having a match with Sasha Banks in truly bizarre fashion.

Flair wrestled his last match in July, but just like Tyson Fury in the world of boxing, seems to be willing to go back on that promise all the time.

And now, in a truly bizarre set of events, Flair has hinted that he'll work a match with Sasha Banks, and doing it to go up against WrestleMania nonetheless.

Has Ric Flair retired?

During a recent interview, Flair was asked whether or not he'd do a special celebrity one-off match, and his answer will surprise people.

The two-time Hall of Famer told TMZ that he's thinking about wrestling Sasha Banks, and having the match at the same time as WWE's biggest show of the year.

I'm thinking about wrestling Sasha Banks. Yeah. Maybe we'll go up against WrestleMania.

Seeing Flair and Banks share the ring would be a spectacle, there's no denying that, as would them having their match at a show that would be airing at the same time as WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.

You can see the footage of the interview below, which includes Flair's rather baffling admission...

Fans, as you can see from the selection of tweets below, are pretty certain that Flair is having a joke here, with no one really believing that the match is even being discussed, never mind about to happen.

Latest news on Ric Flair

Flair wrestled what was advertised as his final match on July 31, the day after SummerSlam, as he teamed with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo to take on Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett.

However, pretty much immediately after the match had concluded, Flair began to tease that he wasn't yet done with wrestling, and may step into the ring again in the future.

In spite of that, due to his ongoing health issues and the fact that he's 73-year-olds, fans really aren't too comfortable with the former WWE Champion wrestling ever again.

It does seem like Flair was joking about having a match with Sasha Banks, at least according to fans, but the prospect of him wrestling another match really isn't that unlikely.
