Bruno Guimaraes admitted after Newcastle's victory over Tottenham on Sunday that he hadn't slept for two days prior to the clash.
The Brazilian welcomed his first son into the world, Matteo Guimaraes, on Friday evening.
As a result, he didn't sleep a wink across the following two days and rocked up to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium running on empty.
But nevertheless, the performance he put in as his team ran out 2-1 winners on the day was absolutely immense.
What did Guimaraes say in his post-match interview?
He told Sky Sports, per The Sun: "They've been amazing days for me, to become a father for the first time. It's been incredible. I've had two days without sleep.
"I would stay home but I love to be here with these guys. They make me happy and proud, and I think we deserved it today.
"It was one of the best days of my life [Matteo's birth]. I'm very happy and proud. It's been like a dream. I don't have words because it's amazing what has happened in my life.
"I say thanks to my family. It's been difficult but it's all worth it."
Guimaraes is rightfully on cloud nine right now after the birth of Matteo and so he should be.
It must be difficult, though, to go from such a high and then switch back to a more focussed outlook ahead a huge game with Antonio Conte's Spurs.

Guimaraes' heartfelt Instagram announcement on son's birth
The Newcastle star confirmed the birth of his sun via Instagram.
Shared alongside a picture of his partner and Matteo, the post read:
"Welcome to the world son! It is with great joy that I announce the arrival of my first son, without a doubt today is the best day of my life!
"First of all, I want to congratulate you my love, you are a warrior you were and you are, after everything you've been through in your life see you do all the strength, go over each contraction and the love you've already shown for our son no there's an explanation!!
