Arsenal will try and get Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba to sign new contracts before the World Cup, says journalist Pete O'Rourke.

The north London club are keen for the trio to put pen to paper on extensions, and O'Rourke thinks manager Mikel Arteta will be pushing his bosses to get it done as soon as possible.

What is the latest contract news involving Arsenal?

Defender Gabriel Magalhaes recently signed a new deal at the Emirates, and the Gunners now want Saka, Martinelli and Saliba to follow suit.

According to The Guardian, Arsenal are in discussions with Saka and Martinelli about fresh contracts.

The same outlet has claimed that the club are also looking to tie Saliba down to a new deal after his impressive start to the season. The 21-year-old defender has been ever-present in the Premier League and has even managed to come up with a couple of goals.

Saka, Martinelli and Saliba are all out of contract in 2024, but Arsenal do have the option to keep hold of the Brazilian and the Frenchman for another 12 months.

What has O'Rourke said about Saka, Martinelli, Saliba and Arsenal?

O'Rourke thinks Arsenal want Saka, Martinelli and Saliba's futures sorted out before the World Cup.

When asked if the Gunners are trying to wrap up things before the tournament in Qatar, the journalist told GIVEMESPORT: "Yeah, I think it'll be in Arsenal's plans to get those players sorted out and tied down to new contracts.

"Bukayo Saka, obviously he's been in superb form for Arsenal this season, as have Martinelli and Saliba, so I'm sure Mikel Arteta will be demanding that the club secure these players new contracts, but it does seem there is interest from other clubs in the players. So that's something that Arsenal need to be worried about."

Who are Arsenal in most danger of losing?

Out of the £135m-rated trio, you would have to say Saka. Looking at his attacking output over these last couple of seasons, he would probably get into most teams.

This term, the England international has scored four times and provided four assists in just 11 league games, while the campaign prior, he came up with 18 goal contributions in 38 top-flight outings. That is really impressive for someone who has just turned 21.

Back in June, the Daily Mail claimed that both Manchester City and Liverpool have an interest in Saka, so some Arsenal fans will definitely be worried about losing him.
