Ex-WWE World Champion The Great Khali got into incredible shape after retiring from wrestling in 2020.

Khali was never in bad shape during his time with WWE, but took it upon himself to get even more jacked after leaving the company.

In fact, Khali put in such great work in the gym that he arguably was in the best shape of his life after having retired, which is pretty rare for wrestlers.

What happened to The Great Khali?

Watching The Great Khali wrestle was always a spectacle for WWE fans, such was his enormous frame, even when compared to some of the taller members of the roster.

Khali stands at 7ft 3" tall and weighed in at over 400lbs during his time with WWE, meaning he's even bigger than the likes of Big Show and Undertaker, making him one of the biggest men to ever have a wrestling match.

However, the Indian star was determined to change his physique and become much leaner after leaving WWE, and to his credit, he did just that.

How did The Great Khali get back into amazing shape?

It wasn't easy for Khali to get into incredible shape, with the former World Heavyweight Champion having to put in a lot of hard work in the gym, as well as focusing heavily on his diet.

SportsKeeda revealed in 2020 what Khali had to eat to get into the best shape of his career, and you won't be surprised to hear that it was an awful lot of food, mainly protein.

Khali starts the day with several glasses of water and a long walk, before eating bread and chicken for his first meal of the day.

That isn't all though, as the former WWE Superstar then has fruit juices, two glasses of milk, eight eggs and 100g of dried fruits, and that's all before he's even thought about lunch yet.

When it comes to lunch, Khali's food portions are massive. He has some curry, pulses, vegetables, rice, 1kg of chicken, eggs and some more dried fruit.

You'd be incorrect to think hat he stops there though, as the 50-year-old then has a dinner consisting of six more eggs, more chicken, vegetables, cheese, ten wheat breads, brown rice and two litres of milk.

Khali somehow has the capacity for a snack in between that too, enjoying ice cream, curd, candy and coffee as part of his diet.

What does The Great Khali eat?

Considering the ridiculous amount of food that he eats, Khali has to work out pretty extensively to burn off all of those calories.

The Sun explained just how strict Khali keeps to his workout plan, which for the average person, would sound pretty daunting.

Kudos to Khali for wanting to get into incredible shape and putting his body first, even though he's no longer wrestling on US TV, or anywhere else for that matter.
