What is the latest news involving Ndicka?

According to the Evening Standard, Ndicka is on Arsenal's shortlist as they look to find cover for Gabriel.

The Frenchman is out of contract next summer, but the same outlet claims that Frankfurt could be tempted to sell in January to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Ndicka was an extremely important player for the German side last season, making 32 appearances in the Bundesliga.

He also played 11 times in the Europa League, helping Frankfurt to win the tournament after they beat Rangers in the final on penalties.

What has Jacobs said about Arsenal and Ndicka?

Jacobs has told GIVEMESPORT that Arsenal are fans of Ndicka and have been scouting the 6 ft 4 central defender.

Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: "Arsenal like the player. They've certainly done their legwork and their due diligence and their scouting on him. There's a lot of interest in the player, not just from the Premier League but from all across Europe as well."

Would Ndicka be a good signing for Arsenal?

He certainly could be. He obviously has the height to play in central defence in the Premier League, with the Frankfurt star proving to be quite dominant in the air over the last year.

As per FBref, Ndicka has ranked in the 83rd percentile for aerials won among centre-backs. He has also ranked in the 86th percentile for blocks, so Arsenal could be getting a really solid and gritty defender.

On Ndicka, who has played 173 games in his senior career, former Frankfurt manager Adi Hutter said: "I honestly have to say that I was surprised by his development. Evan has developed phenomenally.

"He's very attentive in the analysis of his own game. He's very modest and always takes a lot on board."

What also appeals about Ndicka is the fact that Arsenal may be able to get him on the cheap. Because of his contract situation, it really would not be a surprise if Frankfurt did decide to sell him for a relatively small fee in January.

When you consider all of the above, Mikel Arteta bringing Ndicka to the Emirates is a bit of a no-brainer.
