Harry Kane is hoping to spearhead England’s charge to glory at the Qatar World Cup in November and December, but how many goals has the Tottenham Hotspur star scored at the tournament in total?
The Spurs star is one of the first names on Gareth Southgate’s team sheet due to the fact that he is his country’s captain.
He has been a constant in the national team since his debut and has won a total of 75 caps for the Three Lions, scoring 51 goals, as per Transfermarkt.
Kane was central to England’s run to the Euro 2020 final last year when they were ultimately beaten by Italy in the final.

Kane made his debut for England in 2015, against Lithuania, and has only actually played at one World Cup tournament, back in 2018 in Russia.

He won the Golden Boot at that tournament, scoring all six of his goals in three games.
Kane netted a brace against Tunisia in the opening game, and also scored a hat-trick against Panama in the group stages. He also scored against Colombia.

He scored in the Round of 16 victory against Colombia, as mentioned, and also stepped up to score a penalty in the shootout.

He was not on target in the 2-0 win over Sweden in the quarter-finals, and also drew a blank against Croatia in the semi-finals when the Three Lions’ dream ended.
He didn’t score in the Third Place play-off defeat to Belgium, either.
Who will England play at the World Cup?

Gareth Southgate’s side will play Iran, the USA, and Wales in their World Cup group.
Kane has played against Wales at a major tournament before, getting 45 minutes in the 2-1 win at Euro 2016, although he didn’t score.
He has never played against either Iran or the US, sitting on the bench the last time his side played the USA in 2018 when England won 3-0 in an international friendly.
He will be out to add to his tally of goals at the World Cup when the tournament kicks off next month.
