Adama Traore might be the fastest footballer the Premier League has ever seen.

It's impossible to be sure because players don't simply line up and time themselves in 100m sprints mid-game.

However, going purely off the eye test, Traore just looks to be an absolute monster off the mark whilst his top speed is frightening for such a big man.

Over the years, we've seen the Spaniard leave countless Premier League full backs who thought they had pace in the dirt.

Kyle Walker? No match. Andy Robertson? Not even close. Kieran Trippier? That's not even really a question.

But you get the point - Traore is ultra-quick, and everybody knows it.

Which is precisely why when a group of Wolves fans bumped into Traore in the car park at Sainsbury's, there was only one thing they wanted to do with him.

Traore races Wolves fans

In the clip shared to Twitter by @charliebeau1, Traore can be seen lining up in the middle of three young lads as they establish where the finishing line is for their race.

It's decided by one of the boys that "the blue car" would be a suitable point and so the race began.

Any idea what happened next? They are only young so it's not beyond the realms of imagination that Traore let them win.

But ever the competitor, he absolutely smoked them.

In all seriousness, though, what a top bloke Traore is getting involved with his fans like that.

The tweet was captioned: "When my lad & his cousins challenge Adama to a race!!! What a down to earth, top man!"

And we couldn't have put it any better ourselves. Great stuff, Adama.

How is Traore getting on this season?

There was a time when Traore was being touted with permanent moves back to Barcelona and onwards to the likes of Liverpool, but those rumours have quietened in recent times, and he remains at Wolves.

This season he has appeared nine times for the club, scoring one goal.

Although many of those appearances have come from the bench and so it will be interesting to see if he remains at the west midlands club or looks for new opportunities in the near future.
