WWE fans who have listened to just one of Bret Hart's interviews will know that he absolutely hates Goldberg.

After having his career ended after a superkick from the WWE Hall of Famer in 1999, Bret Hart has seemingly made it his mission to make everyone aware of his distain for Goldberg.

However, a rarely-seen-before photo has emerged from 2011 which suggests that Bret and Goldberg were actually friends just shy of ten years ago.

What's the issue between Bret Hart & Goldberg

So, in several interviews just this month alone, Hart has taken shots at Goldberg, artificially finding ways to fit them into his sentences while speaking about other WWE stars.

In fact, while speaking about how he wishes he worked with Brock Lesnar at a signing, Hart clunkily dropped into his answer that he thinks Goldberg is a dangerous worker, as you can see below.

I would have loved to work with Brock Lesnar just because I always heard he was a good pro in the ring. The opposite of Goldberg.

During the same signing, as you can see below, Hart even called for WWE to remove Goldberg from the Hall of Fame.

I always thought that if Goldberg got into the Hall of Fame then Horowitz should’ve gone into the Hall of Fame. Horowitz can actually wrestle. Goldberg never could. I think he got in there for hurting everybody he worked with. They should take Goldberg out.

When did the issues between Bret Hart & Goldberg begin?

However, it seems like the issues between the pair don't date back to 1999, as the pair posed for a photo together in 2011, which you can see below, which fans have gone through the archives to find.

In fact, Hart then replied to a fan who questioned if he had held a grudge against Goldberg for ending his career, which the former WWE Champion said he did not.

Hart went on to say that he had a great deal of respect for Goldberg, claiming that the superkick that ended his career was nothing more than an "accident".

The aforementioned tweet is definitely a change in tune to how Hart speaks about Goldberg now, as some issues have clearly developed between the two over the last ten or so years.
