WWE has held discussions about moving Money in the Bank matches to WrestleMania, it has now been claimed.

WWE held the first Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 21, keeping the match at the biggest show of the year until 2010, when the Money in the Bank pay-per-view was born.

However, there are said to have been discussions held about moving Money in the Bank back to WrestleMania.

What is Triple H planning to do to Money in the Bank?

Many fans have speculated, following reports of Triple H looking to do away with gimmick pay-per-views, that Money in the Bank could be moved back to WrestleMania, and it seems like that's a possibility.

Speaking exclusively with GiveMeSport, WrestleVotes has noted that talk of bringing Money in the Bank back to WrestleMania is considered to be "alive" within WWE right now.

Putting Money in the Bank on WrestleMania, one night women's and one night men's is something I've heard. I know since Hunter has taken over, the idea of one night women and one night men is alive.

As you can see above, it seems like the idea is that the men's match would be on one night of WrestleMania, while the women's match would be on the other.

However, WrestleVotes also explained that they don't see that happening, considering how WWE wants to have Money in the Bank as one of the big yearly shows, potentially holding it in a stadium.

I don't think they're going to do that. Let's say Money in the Bank was scheduled for Allegiant Stadium, they're hoping to get 50,000 people. If you can do that on the back of Money in the Bank, I don't think you put that show in the garbage and put the matches WrestleMania.

Interestingly enough, WrestleVotes also told GiveMeSport that Hell in a Cell, on the other hand, is considered to be "completely dead" within WWE right now.

The report, which you can read by clicking here, notes that the matches are expected to take place, just not at a yearly Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, which have been asking to be the case for years.

Back to Money in the Bank, the current briefcase holder is Austin Theory, with GiveMeSport revealing that WWE has discussed a never-seen-before idea for the Raw star.
