Chelsea forward Kai Havertz will always start ahead of Armando Broja, claims journalist Dean Jones.

Broja is currently behind the likes of Havertz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the striker pecking order at Stamford Bridge, and Jones does not see that changing any time soon.

How many league games have Havertz and Broja started?

This season, Havertz has started 10 times in the Premier League, so he remains a key player for Chelsea.

At the beginning of the campaign, the £150,000-a-week German really struggled, failing to score or provide an assist in any of his first five top-flight games.

However, he has come to life recently, grabbing a consolation goal in the Blues' 4-1 defeat to Brighton last Saturday, while he also netted the winner in a recent Champions League victory against Red Bull Salzburg.

As for Broja, the 21-year-old has made just the one start in English football's top division, which came in the 0-0 draw with Brentford.

What has Jones said about Havertz, Broja and Chelsea?

Jones is convinced that Havertz will always get the nod over Broja at Chelsea.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: "He's done ok this season. I'm not going to say he hasn't, but he can't moan about Kai Havertz playing ahead of him because Kai Havertz is one of the best players of his age in the world.

"Chelsea paid a lot of money for him. Kai Havertz will always get the nod over Broja, and if he's not, then Broja has to make the most of those opportunities and not allow him to get back in the team."

Who should be Chelsea's first-choice striker?

As of now, probably Aubameyang. While Havertz has managed to find a bit of form, he is yet to prove that he is a reliable goalscorer.

Last season, the Germany international was only able to score eight goals in 29 league outings, while the campaign prior, his tally was half of that.

Aubameyang, however, has had no trouble finding the back of the net during his career, registering over 300 times.

At 33, though, the former Barcelona and Arsenal star is not a long-term solution for Chelsea. Considering that, perhaps Broja could become the Blues' leading No.9 in the near future.

For now, though, it looks like Graham Potter will continue to start either Havertz or Aubameyang up front, meaning Broja will have to settle for the bench and cameo appearances.
