Joao Cancelo brought pain to millions of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers after receiving a straight red card during Manchester City’s clash against Fulham on Saturday afternoon.
The Portuguese defender is owned by 57% of the 10.8 million followers on FPL - making him one of the most-owned players on this season’s game.
Man City, who started the game with star striker Erling Haaland on the bench, took the lead in the 17th minute through Julien Alvarez.
But Fulham, who were without their own prolific centre-forward Aleksandar Mitrović, were giving an opportunity to level the scores when Cancelo fouled Harry Wilson inside the box.
Referee Darren England reacted by showing Cancelo a straight red card.
