UFC 281 is set to take place on Saturday, November 12th 2022, and outspoken MMA fighter Sean Strickland has given his pick for the main event between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira.

Pereira is the only man to ever knockout Adesanya, but it actually took place in Kickboxing before both men transitioned into mixed martial arts.

In terms of a narrative, this is one of the most intriguing bouts in the Middleweight division in quite some time, and many fighters have been quick to give their opinion!

Here is what Sean Strickland had to say regarding his prediction for the UFC 281 main event between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira.

Speaking on Brendan Schaub’s Food Truck Diaries podcast (via MMANews), Strickland revealed that he can see Adesanya taking the win.

He said: “I got Izzy. Izzy’s gonna dance around, f*ckin’ run around, fight like a bitch. He’s not gonna stand in front of him. It’s not smart. So I think Izzy’s gonna win, Izzy has a very strange body type. It’s hard to fight.”

It’s quite the claim from the 185-pound fighter, who was on the losing end of his last bout which actually came at the hands of Pereira.

Strickland is set to re-enter the octagon against Jared Cannonier in December as part of UFC Fight Night.
