England football fans will be desperate to know who's included in this year's World Cup 2022 squad - so when will it be announced?

Gareth Southgate has some tough choices to make ahead of this year's finals. The England side has arguably more talent coursing through its structure than ever before, which is going to make things mightily difficult for the gaffer.

When is the England World Cup 2022 squad announced?

UPDATE 10th November 2022: Today is the big day! We'll finally find out who will make up England's 26-man squad in Qatar.

England will announce their squad on Thursday, November 10th 2022 at 2 pm GMT.

All will be revealed at this time as to who will be on the plane for the Three Lions squad.

Yes! It has been revealed that James Maddison is in fact in England's World Cup 2022 squad! Let's see what the Leicester City man can do in Qatar this winter.


Which England players are set to miss out through injury?

Unfortunately, it's been confirmed that Reece James will miss out on heading to Qatar. Along with some others.

Ben Chilwell, Emile Smith Rowe and Kyle Walker-Peters all have long-term injuries and will not recover in time for the tournament.

Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips are both dubious, having sustained injuries recently. It is unbeknown as of yet as to whether they'll be risked in Southgate's 26-man selection.
