Liverpool's season took a step in the right direction on Sunday as they beat Tottenham in the Premier League.

The Reds were yet to win on the road during the current campaign, so overcoming a very good Tottenham side in their own back yard would have been the perfect tonic for Jurgen Klopp and co.

Bedevilled with injuries and having struggled for any sort of consistency, the 2-1 win over Spurs was just what was needed going into the World Cup break.

Liverpool moving in the right direction

However, while they haven't quite hit the heights as a unit, that doesn't take away from the fact that Liverpool is a side dripping with individual quality.

Mohamed Salah has continued to find the back of net with unerring regularity while new signing Darwin Nunez, despite the general narrative online, has helped himself to his own fair share of strikes.

The return of Ibrahima Konate to the heart of the defence seems to have solidified what had looked a very shaky rearguard, with Virgil van Dijk looking more resolute with Konate alongside.

Liverpool look to Thiago for creativity

While creative stars Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz are consigned to the physio room, one man the Reds are leaning heavily on is Thiago.

The Spaniard is easily the most technically gifted star in Klopp's quiver and can turn a game on it's head with but a swing of his wand-like boot.

His roller-coaster relationship with fitness is undoubtedly a massive frustration, but when he's on it, there a few better in the league.

Thiago's ridiculous skills in warm-up

If you needed any further convincing of Thiago's other-worldly technical ability, then look no further than a clip that has emerged on Twitter.

Thiago applauds the Liverpool fans

In the video, Thiago is seen warming up with Darwin ahead of their clash with Tottenham - sounds pretty mundane right?

What if we told you that, during a high-speed passing drill, the master that is Thiago didn't look at the ball once, and was still able to execute the drill better than the Uruguayan striker he was partnered with?

If it was anyone else, we might even think it was fake.

Liverpool will be hoping to keep their midfield maestro fit following the break for the World Cup as they look to right the ship following their stuttering start to the season.

If the Reds are to get anything out of the season ahead, then you can't help but feel that Thiago will have a massive part to play.
