Bruno Fernandes is being slammed by football fans for an 'embarrassing' dive in Manchester United's match against Aston Villa on Thursday evening.

The Portuguese midfielder was in United's starting lineup for the Carabao Cup tie at Old Trafford.

After a drab first half, Villa took the lead in the 48th minute through Ollie Watkins.

They weren't ahead for long, though, as Anthony Martial equalised 18 seconds after the restart.

Villa regained their lead in the 61st minute after Diogo Dalot turned the ball in his own net.

But United fought back once more and ended up winning 4-2.

Marcus Rashford equalised in the 67th minute before goals from Fernandes and Scott McTominay sent United through to the next round.
