WWE is set to be without Natalya for the next few months as she undergoes surgery for a dislocated nose.

In fact, Natalya's injury is set to keep her out of the Royal Rumble on January 28, at WWE's first pay-per-view event of 2023.

The news comes as a big blow to not only Natalya personally, but also to WWE, mainly due to the former SmackDown Women's Champion's experience.

Latest news on Natalya

During her match with Shayna Baszler on SmackDown last week, Natalya suffered a dislocated nose, and was forced to undergo surgery this week.

The injury isn't a simple one for Nattie, who was described as an "unsung hero" back in 2019, and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer that she's out of the Royal Rumble next year, via WrestleTalk.

Natalya suffered a dislocated nose and needed surgery on 11/7. She will be out of action a minimum of three months and perhaps a little longer because they will be waiting for it to fully heal and this isn’t the three weeks back after ankle surgery she did a few years back to prove she could.

The Royal Rumble is now just shy of three months away, so based on Meltzer's timescale, Nattie is expected to miss the big show in January 2023.

Other WWE injury updates

Unfortunately for WWE, Natalya isn't the only wrestler out with a relatively long-term injury at the moment.

Randy Orton is out with a "severe" back injury right now, and is also likely to miss the Royal Rumble next year, with people in WWE said to be "very concerned" about the severity of his issue right now.

Cody Rhodes' injury is believed to be less serious, and his recovery from his torn pec could see him back in the ring at the Royal Rumble itself, which would be a big bonus for WWE ahead of WrestleMania 39.

Becky Lynch is even being advertised for the Royal Rumble, so it seems like WWE is planning for 'The Man' to be back at the show, which would be another big boost for Triple H at the big show.

GiveMeSport will, of course, keep you updated with all the latest information on the injury updates of several WWE Superstars as we head out of 2022 and into 2023.
