Jamaal Lascelles managed to get booked without even playing in Newcastle's win against Chelsea on Saturday evening.

Newcastle went into the Premier League clash looking for all three points to go back above Tottenham Hotspur and into third place.

And they managed to do just that as they battled to a slender 1-0 victory against The Blues.

The only goal of the game was scored by Joe Willock in the 67th minute.

The English midfielder took aim from 20 yards out and his powerful effort fizzed past Edouard Mendy and into the top corner.

The last few minutes were crazy to say the least.

Eight minutes were added on and Newcastle resorted to extreme measures in order to hold on to all three points.

Newcastle's club captain, Lascelles, has only played 105 minutes this season.

He was an unused substitute once again at St James' Park but he still played a role in his side's late time-wasting.

The 29-year-old was 'warming up' on the sideline when Chelsea were given a throw-in deep into stoppage-time.

Marc Cucurella went over to the touchline to try and take a quick throw-in but Lascelles made sure that didn't happen.

Lascelles stood as close as he could to Cucurella, who responded by pushing the Newcastle substitute.

Lascelles continued to stand there as if he was doing nothing wrong before referee Rob Jones had enough and issued him with a yellow card. View the moment below...
