eFootball Season 2 Update v2.2 is coming and the theme has been revealed as "The Football Festival". Here we have the official release date, patch notes, carryover details and more.

As football fans eagerly anticipate the impending whirlwind of emotions that is the World Cup 2022, eFootball is also bringing a wide variety of in-game National Team Events for Season 2 of eFootball 2023.

Release Date

eFootball 2023 will be releasing the v2.2.0 update on 16th November 2022.

This is in preparation for Season 2, which will be officially kicking off on the 17th of November 2022 - after maintenance is finished.

The patch notes have not officially been released as of yet, but we should see them released with the update on the 16th of November 2022.

eFootballâ„¢ Coins

All eFootball™ Coins will carry over to v2.2.0.*Note that if you are playing the console version (PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, Steam®) and your account has "Japan" as its country/region, your eFootball™ Coins have a validity of 180 days. As such, there is a possibility that some of your Coins may expire during the large-scale maintenance that is planned for the v2.2.0 update. Make sure to use them before they expire.

eFootballâ„¢ Points

All eFootballâ„¢ Points will carry over to v2.2.0.*Note that there is a possibility that some of your eFootballâ„¢ Points may expire during the large-scale maintenance that is planned for the v2.2.0 update. Make sure to use them before they expire.

GP

All GP will carry over to v2.2.0.

Base Team

What can happen to your Base Team

Depending on whether your chosen Base Team is available in v2.2.0, there are two possibilities.(A) Your chosen team is available in v2.2.0If your chosen Base Team is available in v2.2.0, you will be able to use it as is.

However, please note that the update may result in some changes to the names, uniforms, and emblems of certain teams.(B) Your chosen team is not available in v2.2.0If your chosen Base Team is not available in v2.2.0, you will have to choose a new team when you first login after updating the game.

The teams that you can choose from will be limited to those that are available in v2.2.0 at the time of your first login.

You can change your Base Team and team name at any time by going to [Extras] > [User Information] > [Dream Team].

Nominating Contract

All Nominating Contracts will carry over to v2.2.0.*Note that there is a possibility that some of your Nominating Contracts may expire during the large-scale maintenance that is planned for the v2.2.0 update. Make sure to use them before they expire.

Chance Deal

All Chance Deals will carry over to v2.2.0.

Contract Renewal (60 Days)

All Contract Renewals (60 Days) will carry over to v2.2.0.

Training Programs

All Training Programs will carry over to v2.2.0.

Objectives

The status of your Objectives (ex. Progress, completion, etc.) will carry over to v2.2.0.

Avatar

If your chosen Avatar is available in v2.2.0, your Avatar setting will be carried over.
However, if it is no longer available, your Avatar will be reset to default.

User Settings

The settings listed below will carry over to v2.2.0.

Players

What can happen to your Players. Firstly, all players you signed after the v2.1.0 update will be carried over to v2.2.0.

Regarding players you signed prior to v2.1.0, you will have to check the page "Player Cards Eligible for Carryover (*1)", which will become available at a later date. On this page, you will be able to search for a player by name. If the player appears on the results list, (A) he will be carried over. Otherwise, (B) he will not be carried over

*1: The "Player Cards Eligible for Carryover" page's search results are based on the data from the Live Update that will be applied on the day of the v2.1.0 update.

See the details below regarding what will happen to your players according to their Card Type. Just as a reminder, you can check the players listed in the "Standard Player List" by going to [Main Menu] > [Contract] > [Standard Player List].

Standard

(A) Player Cards that are eligible for carryover, in this case, the player's team/league will be updated.
In addition, other data such as Card Type, Level, Appearance, Position, Abilities, Skills, Playing Style, Team Playstyles, and Contract Period will be carried over. (B) Player Cards that are ineligible for carryover, in this case, the player will be converted to the assets shown below.

  • The amount of GP that would be spent to sign the Standard version of the player according to the value displayed in the "Standard Player List" prior to v2.1.0
  • A certain amount of Level Training Programs, to fulfil the amount of Experience the player had accumulated

Featured

(A) Player Cards that are eligible for carryover, in this case, the player's data (team, league, abilities, etc.) will carry over as is. (B) Player Cards that are ineligible for carryover, in this case, the player will be converted to the assets shown below.

  • 1.5 times the amount of GP that would be spent to sign the Standard version of the player, according to the value displayed in the "Standard Player List" prior to v2.1.0
  • A certain amount of Level Training Programs, to fulfil the amount of Experience the player had accumulated

Legendary

Managers

What can happen to your ManagersFirstly, all managers you have signed after the v2.1.0 update will be carried over to v2.2.0.

Regarding managers you have signed prior to v2.1.0, you will have to check the page "Managers Eligible for Carryover (*2)", which will become available at a later date.

On this page, you will be able to search for a manager by name. If the manager appears on the results list, (A) he will be carried over. Otherwise, (B) he will not be carried over.

The "Managers Eligible for Carryover" page's search results are based on the data from the Live Update that will be applied on the day of the v2.1.0 update.

(A) Managers that are eligible for carryover, in this case, the manager's team and the league will be updated to that shown on the "Managers Eligible for Carryover" page.

On the other hand, his Team Playstyle Proficiency and Coaching Affinity will remain as is.(B) Managers that are ineligible for carryover, in this case, the manager will be converted to the assets shown below.
