England are hoping to win the World Cup for just the second time in their history.
The Three Lions landed in Qatar on Tuesday as they look to build upon their semi-final finish four years ago as well as their run to the final at Euro 2020 under manager Gareth Southgate.
England will get their campaign underway against Iran next Monday, before clashes with the United States of America and Wales which will go a long way towards dictating just how far the 1966 winners will go this winter.
Who has the most valuable squad at the World Cup?
However, regardless of whether Southgate's men are dumped out in the group stages or crown themselves world champions, the one area in which they're guaranteed to come out on top is in terms of squad value.
That's because the Three Lions go into Qatar 2022 with the most valuable squad amongst the 32 nations competing in the tournament.
Now that every country has unveiled their 26-man squad ahead of the big kick-off on Sunday, the world-renowned data gurus at Transfermarkt have been able to finalise their valuations for every team taking to the global stage.

They calculate an estimated transfer value for every single player based on a number of factors such as performance, age, reputation, injury susceptibility and demand, which - when added together with the totals of their teammates - will then inform the overall squad worth.
How much is England's squad worth?
And it's none other than England who are deemed to have not only the most valuable squad at the World Cup, but the most valuable squad of any senior men's national team, period.
Transfermarkt value the resources at Southgate's disposal to come in at €1.26 billion with only two other nations boasting so many world-class players as to join them with a ten-figure valuation.
Young superstars Phil Foden (€110m) and Jude Bellingham (€100m) have the heftiest estimated price tags of all, but England icons Harry Kane (€90m) and Raheem Sterling (€70m) are still reckoned to be expensive products in the transfer market.

What do the squad values mean for the tournament?
Wow. It's mind-boggling to think that there's a staggering €1,246,000,000 difference in worth between the England squad and that of the hosts, Qatar.
You can't help feeling for nations like Australia, Tunisia and Costa Rica when you look at their squad values compared to the might of footballing giants like Spain, Germany and Brazil with their cohort of superstars highly prized in the transfer market.
However, as we all know, the World Cup isn't decided based on the quality and worth of the players, so Transfermarkt's figures by no means indicate that England are suddenly favourites to go all the way in Qatar.

Far more important than squad value is squad cohesion, because whoever goes onto win the World Cup every four years tends to be the side who gels together the best when the chips are down and the eyes of the world are watching.
The statitics clearly show that England have the quality, but do they have the bottle? Only time will tell.
