Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is set to leave Old Trafford and agent Jorge Mendes will 'need to find a solution', according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The 37-year-old only returned to the Red Devils last year, but he appears to be on the verge of walking away from the club.

What's the latest news involving Ronaldo?

Ronaldo has been involved in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan, where he revealed that he feels betrayed by Manchester United, who are trying to force him out of the exit door, and the lack of respect he has for boss Erik ten Hag.

It is understood that the Dutchman has reacted to the comments by telling the hierarchy that the striker should not play for the club again.

Manchester United are reportedly considering tearing up Ronaldo’s contract after being left incensed by his tell-all interview.

However, in a club statement, the Red Devils insisted they will only take action ‘after the full facts have been established’.

Romano has previously told GIVEMESPORT that ten Hag is ‘furious’ by Ronaldo’s interview and feels ‘disrespect’ has been shown.

What has Fabrizio Romano said about Ronaldo?

Romano believes it will be difficult for Ronaldo's agent, Mendes, to find a club his client is satisfied with.

However, the respected Italian journalist feels a destination needs to be found as the 191-cap Portugal international is highly unlikely to remain at Manchester United.

Romano told GIVEMESPORT: "It's not easy to find the right club for Cristiano Ronaldo.

"But, for sure, Jorge Mendes will be on it because they need to find a solution and I don't see Cristiano Ronaldo staying at Manchester United."

Who could Ronaldo join after sealing his Manchester United exit?

It is understood that Ronaldo opened discussions with Bayern Munich last week, when officials from the reigning Bundesliga champions travelled to England.

A move to the United States could also be on the cards as Major League Soccer's Inter Miami have entered the race for his signature and Manchester United legend David Beckham, who co-owns the Florida-based franchise, has held talks with the former Real Madrid man's representatives.

Mendes will reportedly offer Ronaldo to Chelsea again in the coming weeks, although a move to Stamford Bridge remains complicated.

However, a switch to Paris Saint-Germain appears to be off the table as the Ligue 1 title holders are not interested and, instead, remain focused on signing alternative targets.
