One of the most exciting times in the FIFA calendar has got to be Team of the Year (TOTY). A team of 11 players with incredibly juiced stats, TOTY cards are for a long time the utmost desirable cards on the game and go for a ridiculous amount of coins.

They feature the greatest players in world football and are voted for by the fans. Last year we had the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Robert Lewandowski and Lionel Messi all involved, so it'll be mightily exciting to see who will feature in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.

But when does the full TOTY come out? Find out everything you need to know below.

Team of the Year (TOTY) Release Date

UPDATE 18th January 2023: TOTY is officially confirmed to start at 6 PM GMT on Friday 20th January 2023 thanks to a loading screen in-game!

Only Midfielders: 22/01 to 24/01
Only Defenders: 24/01 to 26/01
TOTY XI: 26/01 to 03/02
Fan Favourite: 27/01 to 03/02
Honourable Mentions: 27/01 to 03/02

EA like to stagger the release of players to maximise the potential of the promotional event. In recent years it has begun with the attackers and finishes with the honourable mentions, and we think it should follow the same structure once again.

During this time, EA will bring out a variety of content including SBCs, featured objectives, packs and so much more.

It really is one of the best times in the FUT calendar and it should be no different for players of FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
