West Ham manager David Moyes still has the full backing of the club's owners, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The Hammers have underperformed this season, but it does not look like the 59-year-old's job is in danger just yet.

What is the latest news involving Moyes?

After West Ham's last match, a 2-0 defeat to Leicester City at the London Stadium, 90min reported that Moyes' position was still safe.

Their loss to the Foxes left them on 14 points and in 16th place heading into the World Cup, so it is clear to see that this has been a campaign to forget about so far.

There is a long way to go, though. There are plenty of games left to play after the tournament in Qatar, and it looks like the West Ham board are going to give Moyes time to manage at least some of them.

Their first fixture after the break is a tough trip to leaders Arsenal on Boxing Day, so things are not about to get any easier for Moyes and his side.

What has Sheth said about Moyes' West Ham future?

Sheth has told GIVEMESPORT that West Ham are still backing their man and probably feel that they owe him after how his first spell at the club ended.

When asked if Moyes still has the full support of the owners, the Sky Sports reporter said: "As far as I'm aware, in a word, yes. I think he does. I think he's built up enough credit in the bank.

"And what happened to him the first time as well, there's probably a feeling that, you know, David Moyes is owed that time because of what happened."

Who could West Ham look at if they do get rid of Moyes?

Right now, there is not much being said about managers who could replace Moyes, which is another indication that his job is safe.

But if that changes, in terms of available options, Rafael Benitez is one name that comes to mind. He was linked with the West Ham job back in 2018 when Moyes left the London Stadium at the end of his short-term contract.

Ralph Hasenhuttl, who was recently sacked by Southampton, is another coach without a job.

For now, though, it does not look like Moyes is going to be removed from his position. And having taken the east London club to seventh and sixth-placed finishes in the last two seasons, that is probably fair.
