The Rock is, without a doubt, one of the most physically impressive men to ever step foot inside a WWE ring.

Despite now being in his 50s, the former WWE Champion would still be one of the most stacked WWE Superstars on the roster if he wrestled tomorrow.

Taking that into consideration, it's incredible that Dwayne Johnson's father was actually bigger than him during his wrestling career.

The Rock's Dad was huge

Without knowing who Rocky Johnson is, fans would automatically assume that he was a lot smaller than his son, The Rock.

However, during the height of his career as a wrestler, Rocky was actually bigger than his son Dwayne, and it's hard to believe.

Don't believe us, you can check out the image below for yourself, which shows Rocky in his prime, and The Rock now...

The Rock is definitely not small, and again is one of the most physically impressive guys to ever work for WWE, but his father may actually have been bigger during the height of his career.

Rocky had a short stint with WWE between 1982 and 1985, winning the Tag Team Championship once with Tony Atlas, before being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2008.

Latest news on The Rock

The Rock is rumoured to be heading back to WWE in early 2023, setting up a match at WrestleMania 39 with his cousin, Roman Reigns.

The match has been rumoured to be taking place for the last few years, with it being likely that next year's show in Hollywood is where it'll take place.

As of now, there's no word on when The Rock is going to actually return to WWE TV, but if he is challenging for Reigns' Undisputed Universal title, a Royal Rumble win in January could be on the cards.

The Rock hasn't appeared on TV since SmackDown's debut on FOX in October 2019, with WWE hoping that the Hollywood megastar's appearances will lead to a bump in ratings.

His suspected match with Reigns will also be the first time he's had an announced bout since his WWE Championship showdown with John Cena at WrestleMania 29 in 2013.

Rock did wrestle at WrestleMania 32 in 2016, beating Erick Rowan in just six seconds, but the match wasn't announced beforehand and instead was a surprise for the crowd.
