Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe would be a "dream signing" for Manchester United and every other club in the world, says Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The Frenchman is thought to be unhappy at the Parc des Princes and United are now being linked with him.

What is the latest news involving Mbappe?

According to SPORT, PSG have tried to convince Mbappe to stick with the club and their project but have had no success.

The same outlet states that United are now trying to position themselves to sign the 23-year-old as Erik ten Hag looks to significantly bolster his attack.

There is likely to be one huge problem, though, with SPORT claiming that Mbappe is not convinced about a move to Old Trafford.

Whatever the case, any transfer in January or next summer is going to be extremely difficult, with the PSG star only signing a new three-year deal back in May.

What has Sheth said about Mbappe?

Sheth has described Mbappe as a dream signing amid the United links but thinks it will be a struggle to get him out of the Parc des Princes.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Sky Sports reporter said: "A real dream signing for anybody. How difficult would it be to get Kylian Mbappe, though, out of PSG?

"There are lots of rumours of he's not happy there, but PSG hold the cards in one way simply because they tied him down to a three-year contract in the summer, so he's still got two-and-a-half years left."

Is Mbappe the perfect Cristiano Ronaldo replacement?

Like Mbappe, Ronaldo was clearly not satisfied with life at his club, recently criticising his former employers in an interview with Piers Morgan.

He has now left Old Trafford, with United announcing earlier this week that his contract has been terminated.

In terms of potential successors, Mbappe would be more than a perfect replacement. The former AS Monaco man, who cost PSG around £165m (via BBC Sport), is obviously an incredible goalscorer, registering 217 times in his senior career.

Unfortunately for United, though, there are probably too many barriers here for them to overcome to sign Mbappe.

Given that Mbappe seemingly wants out of PSG and only a handful of clubs can afford him, which includes United, never say never. But again, it is going to be an extremely difficult transfer to pull off.
