What is the latest news involving Trossard?

Graham Potter left Brighton for Chelsea in September, and Trossard is refusing to rule out the possibility of a reunion with him at Stamford Bridge.

"Chelsea have, in any case, not yet reported, not with Brighton and not with me," the Belgian recently told Het Laatste Nieuws (via Evening Standard). "I have to wait and see."

If Trossard does leave the Amex in January, the fee clubs could be looking at is £30m.

According to The Northern Echo, Brighton value him at that price and Newcastle United are now considering making a move for him.

What has Jacobs said about Trossard and United?

Jacobs has told GIVEMESPORT that United are just one club who have been offered Trossard.

Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: "We'll have to wait and see whether United decide to look a little bit closer to home and see whether there's that shorter term and closer to home goalscorer that they might be able to attract.

"We know, for example, that Trossard at Brighton is being put in the shop window by his agent. He's been offered to Manchester United, he's been offered to Liverpool and he's been offered to Chelsea. Liverpool are not interested.

"Manchester United haven't really bitten, but given the [Cristiano] Ronaldo situation, we have to wait and see if they consider a player like him, somebody gettable, somebody that is in good form and somebody that can just tide them over and continue the momentum that they're building under Erik ten Hag between now and the summer, at which point they can then come in for a big name."

Can Trossard secure a move to a top-six club?

If the likes of United and Chelsea are only going off his current form, then possibly.

As mentioned earlier, Trossard has really excelled this season, scoring seven goals in 14 Premier League outings. One of those strikes came against Chelsea, reminding Potter what his former player is capable of.

Speaking about the Belgium international on his YouTube channel FIVE, United legend Rio Ferdinand went as far as to say that the creative side of his game is "unreal".

For £30m, then, it would not be a shock if United or another top team snapped him up in January.
