Tom Brady might well be on the lookout for another team at the end of the season, but Dominique Foxworth has appeared to rule out one potential option for him.

When it comes to talking about Tom Brady in the context of his NFL career, there really is no point talking about the numbers that he has put up, because they speak for themselves and are likely going to act as a benchmark that will never be broken as long as the game is played.

Perhaps the biggest story surrounding Brady right now is the fact that he is still playing at a very capable level despite playing at the grand old age of 45, something that he hinted was his aim a couple of years ago. Now though, the attention turns to just how long he feels like he’ll be able to go, and according to the man himself when he spoke to Complex earlier in the year, he hinted that 50 might be a possibility.

However, with his contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers set to run out at the end of this year, that means he could be on a new team next season, and barring those teams that have their quarterbacks of the future figured out already, he is likely to get a lot of offers from teams wanting to get every last drop they can out of the G.O.A.T.

Who will be Tom Brady’s bunch of suitors?

There are a lot of teams who are looking like they might be in need of a quarterback next year for a whole host of reasons, whether it be the New York Giants who didn’t exercise the 5th-year option of Daniel Jones, the Los Angeles Rams who might be forced into a change if Matthew Stafford’s concussion problems don’t go away or the New Orleans Saints who haven’t been able to figure out who between Andy Dalton, Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill is going to be their man under centre.

That scenario could also be labeled on the Las Vegas Raiders, who do have the ability to cut quarterback Derek Carr this offseason and save them big money in dead cap space, and it would give Brady the chance to reunite with Josh McDaniels, who was his offensive coordinator with the New England Patriots.

However when that idea was presented to Dominique Foxworth, he dismissed the idea. Speaking on ESPN’s Get Up (starting at 1:32), Foxworth pointed out that the Raiders aren’t in a position to win a Super Bowl right now, and that would likely put Brady off from making the move to Sin City:

The Vegas thing seems wild to me because I can't imagine Tom Brady just coming back to try to pad his historic stats. And the Raiders, they're not a quarterback away, or offensive-minded head coach away from winning a championship. They need some help on the defensive side of ball, they've been bad at defense for quite some time. And Maxx with two x's Crosby is not enough to make them good. They're going to need to do something there. So I can't imagine Tom Brady wants to go to Vegas and just get beat up on.

Foxworth makes a good point, because Brady will want to win, and when he first made the move to Tampa in 2019, they had just come off a season where they ranked 3rd in total offense but were hampered by having 41 turnovers, 30 of them interceptions by Jameis Winston and a defense that was top ten in turnovers and sacks, so the pieces were there.

And if the Raiders don’t have the talent to make something happen right away, there’s no way that Brady is going to look in their direction.
