WWE Superstar Damian Priest was considered for a role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it has emerged.

Priest is one of the most heavily featured stars in WWE right now, and it has now emerged that he nearly earned a spot in one of Marvel's biggest films of the year.

The report, which comes from Fightful, has clarified that Priest was asked to read for two big roles too, so his involvement in the movie would have been more than just a celebrity cameo.

Damian Priest was considered for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Priest, as noted, is one of the biggest stars in WWE, and has impressed since his move into Judgement Day back in April at WrestleMania 38.

His good work at the moment clearly caught the attention of Hollywood, with Fightful Select reporting that Priest was considered for a role in the huge Black Panther: Wakanda Forever movie.

Priest, real name Luis Martinez, doesn't have any acting credits that we were able to see outside of pro wrestling, but was asked to read for a significant role in Black Panther Wakanda Forever.

WWE stars occasionally play small guest roles in films and TV shows, but the report explains that Priest was asked to read for two heavily featured spots in the movie.

Sources familiar with the situation say that Damian Priest was asked to read for the role of Namor, one of the most heavily featured roles in the film, or one of the other featured members of Talokan.

The report doesn't say whether or not Priest actually auditioned for the roles, just that the directors enquired about the possibility of getting him involved with the movie.

The movie has been released already, hitting screens on November 11, and Priest didn't feature in any capacity, in case you weren't aware.

Latest news on Damian Priest

As noted, Priest is one of the biggest stars on Raw, and a lot of that has to do with his involvement in Judgement Day, WWE's top faction right now.

Priest isn't wrestling at Survivor Series at this point, but is involved in one of Raw's top storylines as his faction feuds with The OC.

A four-on-four match, now that The OC has added Mia Yim to its ranks, is likely taking place in TV during the final few weeks of 2022 or early on in 2023.
