The next FIFA 23 promotional event to hit our screens should be the Road to the World Cup. Here we have everything you need to know about it.

This promo comes a week into the World Cup 2022 beginning, after last week we were treated to the Path to Glory promo, accompanied with World Cup Swaps in celebration of the global competition beginning.

We had some stunning cards released over the course of the World Cup so far, with the likes of Leon Goretzka, Kyle Walker and Alejandro Gomez all receiving boosted cards.

But now a new week in FIFA brings new horizons and it appears that an entirely new problem titled the Road to the World Cup is the next to release.

Release Date

FIFA 23 Road to the World Cup will get underway at 6 PM GMT on Friday, November 25, 2022 - which was confirmed by a loading screen within the game.

We do not yet know whether this will be a one or a two-week promotional event.

What is the Road to the World Cup promo?

Unfortunately at this time, we don't have any information on how the promo works other than the means of a loading screen. However, there has been speculation on socials which suggests that the cards could work a little like Champions League RTTK cards.

This is, however, merely speculation - so we'll see what is revealed by EA in due time.

Black Friday

The Road to the World Cup also falls in conjunction with Black Friday, which is the release date of the promo.

Black Friday in FIFA always brings fans a plethora of pack offers, Flash SBCs and so much more.

It has also been revealed we'll be getting the 'Best of TOTW' during this time, so it'll be a fantastic time to open packs in FUT!

World Cup Icons

The loading screen has also revealed to us that World Cup Icons will also be released alongside this promo!

World Cup Icons are special versions of existing Icon cards with boosted stats that celebrate a specific moment in their World Cup career. A full list of the cards can be seen below.
