During his life, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has conquered the world of wrestling, the world of acting and if his latest action is anything to go by, he is well on his way to conquering the world of nice gestures.

Whilst back in his childhood home state of Hawaii, the 50-year-old decided to make up for a wrong that has been on his mind for years by buying every Snickers bar in his old 7-11 that he used to shoplift from as a teenager.

Growing up, The Rock had a number of issues, his family didn’t have much money and he himself was arrested many times as a teenager for fighting and other petty crimes. When he was 14 and ‘broke as hell’, he used to steal one Snickers bar per day on his way to the gym and now, many years later, he wanted to try and make up for it.

On his Instagram, he wrote: “I finally exorcised this damn chocolate demon that’s been gnawing at me for decades.

"We were evicted from Hawaii in ‘87 and after all these years - I finally got back home to right this wrong.

"I was broke as hell, so I used to steal a king sized Snickers EVERY DAY from 7-11 for almost a year when I was 14yrs old, on my way to the gym.

"The Snickers was my pre daily workout.

"The same clerk was there every day and always just turned her head and never busted me.

"I’ve exercised a few big demons over the years (I still have a few left;) so I know this one seems VERY SILLY, but every time I come back home to Hawaii and drive by 7-11…

"I always knew I needed to go in and clean out every Snickers bar they had - the right way.”

And that is exactly what he did as he bought up every single Snickers bar in the store before leaving them for future customers to take for free.

Whilst at the store, he also took the time to buy the shopping of everyone else and also stopped for selfies for anyone that asked.

“As a bonus, it was a lot of fun to take care of everybody who walked into 7-11 while I was there.

"Least I could do considering all the s*** I used to steal from here.”

According to The Rock, this is one of a number of demons he still has to exercise, but his continuing acts of kindness are certainly wholesome.

He finished his post by saying: “We can’t change the past and some of the dumb stuff we may have done, but every once in a while we can add a little redeeming grace note to that situation — and maybe put a big smile on some stranger’s faces.”

Words that we can perhaps all live by.
