The 29-year-old is out of contract this summer, and according to reports in Italy, a string of Premier League clubs are interested in the Ukraine international, who could be available for a fee of £26million.

Nottingham Forest and West Ham have both been linked with Malinovskyi, but one report suggests that Tottenham are in 'pole position' to sign the midfield star, and could look to recruit him in January.

What does Pete O'Rourke think about a possible Tottenham move for Malinovskyi?

O'Rourke says that Malinovskyi is very much a player interesting Spurs and they could explore signing him in January.

The journalist told GIVEMESPORT: "He's a good player - a Ukrainian International who can play further forward in midfield, score goals and create goals.

"I think, ideally, that's something Antonio Conte wants to add to his side - somebody who can maybe provide goals from midfield and also creates assists as well. Malinovskyi, I think, ticks a lot of boxes for Tottenham, and this is a deal they're definitely exploring to try and do in January."

Do Spurs need to add Malinovskyi to the their ranks?

Tottenham have suffered injuries to Richarlison, Lucas Moura, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski this season and those absentees have highlighted the need for further reinforcements - especially with the packed fixture list they'll have after the World Cup.

The club have already been linked with moves for James Maddison and Anthony Gordon to add to their attack, but both would come with a hefty price tag. However, they could be tempted by the cut-price deal on offer for Malinovskyi.

Conte has already expressed a desire to add to his squad depth if the club are to compete at home and abroad, and both the Italian and Spurs managing director Fabio Paratici are in agreement that the Ukrainian would be an ideal signing, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

Spurs are currently fourth in the Premier League table and through to the last 16 of the Champions League.
