Manchester United's Hannibal Mejbri almost sparked a fight during Tunisia vs Australia at the World Cup despite being on the bench.

The 19-year-old has picked up a bit of a reputation for being a bit of a sh*thouse.

That was seen when he came off the bench for Man Utd during a 4-0 defeat to Liverpool last April and immediately make his mark with brutal fouls on Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita. He picked up a yellow card during his short cameo.

After that match, Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville praised the midfielder.

"To be fair at least the kid's showing something," he said on Sky Sports.

"Honestly, it takes a young kid to come on and show the rest of them how to sprint to the ball and put a challenge in. I'm actually proud of him.

"Maybe he doesn't like the idea of Liverpool passing around him, I wish the others were the same."

However, Neville later went back on his comments during commentary.

"I erred on to the slightly unprofessional side of commentary tonight when I said that the kid [Mejbri]… I was proud of him because he was going around trying to top people and trying to kick people.

"But he demonstrated something, he showed something.

"He didn't like the idea of Liverpool, at Anfield, passing it around him and the idea of Liverpool taking the mick out of him and his team-mates.

"At least he demonstrated something. I am not saying it is brilliant because he could have hurt the Liverpool players, but as a United fan you can respond to that."

Hannibal causes trouble during Tunisia vs Australia

Despite being named on the bench for Tunisia's clash against Australia, he was up to his mischievous tricks.

Australia took the lead halfway though the first half thanks to Mitchell Duke's brilliant header.

And when the Aussie striker was down on the turf a few minutes later, Hannibal wasn't willing to give him much sympathy.

Instead, he proceeded to pick up the loose ball and gently throw it at Duke's face.

It brushed the Fagiano Okayama man, leaving Australian players furious with Hannibal.

The referee eventually calmed things down as it threatened to boil over, making Hannibal apologise for his actions.

After Tunisia drew to Denmark in their opener, they really need to get a result against Australia in their second match.

A defeat to the Socceroos would leave them needed to get all three points against France in their final match.
